I rented an Iridium satellite phone through Outfitter Satellite for the purpose of sending my blogs to Soundings by e-mail from offshore during the Bermuda One-Two. As I’ve reported in the past, the “data kit” that I rented to make e-mail possible didn’t work for most of the trip from Newport to the island.
